Working principle of pneumatic stop valve: The pneumatic stop valve should be a gate valve powered by compressed gas. The main control room manually or automatically opens the action command to provide the actuator with an intake and exhaust solenoid valve to exhaust compressed gas. Compressed gas is applied to the piston or diaphragm to overcome the friction force caused by the action of the gate valve and the spring force on the valve seat, thereby pressing down (for valve opening due to loss of air) or mentioning (for valve closing due to loss of air) the valve seat, promoting the downward movement of the valve center, and causing the gate valve to open or close. When the gate valve loses air and there is no air compression in the drive head, the gate valve will be in the fully open or fully closed position according to the system's requirements. Compressed gas for instrument use in power plants usually has a pressure of 4-9bar in the air circuit. Before entering the gate valve, the compressed air is first filtered and purified through a filter, and then depressurized through a pressure reducing valve. The reading on the inlet pressure gauge does not exceed 4bar.

Installation instructions for pneumatic stop valves: Pneumatic stop valves are generally used for fully closed and fully open gas and liquid one-way flow pipelines, and their structure is longer and shorter than gate valves. When the substance is highly corrosive, low inlet and high outlet shut-off valves should be selected. When the medium pressure is high or frequently opens and closes, the valve seat should be thickened to avoid seat bending caused by material thrust. Pneumatic globe valves have higher flow resistance compared to other gate valves, and attention should be paid to the pressure of the gas source and the difficulties caused by its pressure resistance and corrosion resistance on the valve seat during use. Pneumatic shut-off valves are not suitable for substances with particles, high viscosity, and easy slagging.
